Buck Rogers in the 26th Century Episode 204x "Divide & Conquer" Written by: Erin Weinstock I don't hold any of the copyrights in this story, and this story was made without profit. Teaser: ext: Defense Directorate / Shuttle Park: Huer, Wilma, Dantin and Twiki with the mobile version of Theopolis stand on a nearly empty lot looking outward and upward at the sky. Huer: "I see them," he says with broad smile lighting up his face. Dantin: "You'd think with centuries of war between them they wouldn't be flying so close together in formation." Wilma: "They're trying to put aside their differences, Major. To them it must be some show of trust," she says looking at Dantin. Huer: "Look professional everyone." Wilma returns her gaze back towards the sky. Theopolis: "How else would I look, Doctor Huer?" Huer looks to Twiki / Theopolis in shock. Twiki / Theopolis turn to Huer, Cont: "Sorry, Doctor, my files momentarily merged with Twiki's." One after the other, the two ships of similar look land close by to each other: both look like they could hold nothing larger than a dog and are opposite colors of the spectrum when one is compared to the other. The group looks out at the ships, expecting their alien crews to emerge into sight. A beat and nothing happens. Except for Twiki / Theopolis they all look to each other say if to say "now what?" Another beat as they watch and wait. Wilma: "Doctor Huer?" Taking in a breath, Huer: "They know where we'll be expecting them." Huer to Dantin, Cont: "Major." Then to Twiki / Theopolis, Cont: "Doctor Theopolis." They turn away from the ships and start heading toward the interior of the Defense Directorate. The Camera cuts in close on Huer as he takes on a devilish grin. Cut to: int: Corridor S-6: Buck and Hawk are walking nearly side by side when Huer, Wilma, Dantin, Twiki and Theopolis come towards them from the opposite direction. Buck: "Say, where are they?" Twiki / Theopolis: "We assume on their way, shorty." Hawk: "I don't think this is such a good idea." Buck to Hawk: "Nonsense, Hawk, you need to meet more people, become one with the melting pot." To Huer, Cont: "Any idea then when their ships will be arriving?" Huer takes Buck's hands in his. Huer: "Their ships have already arrived; it's just they haven't cared to show their presence yet. Buck, I want to give the Marata a proper welcome when we get to meet them, could you help me with that?" As Huer says that line to Buck and notices that action involved with it, Wilma's face takes on a stern look of professionalism and she turns to Hawk. Still looking the way she did a beat before she reaches out and strokes Hawk's side head feathers. Wilma: "Hawk, I'd like your help with something too. A warm welcome for the Oargon as well." Hawk backs up from Wilma, not sure what to make of the contact he just had with her. But she comes towards Hawk quickly and puts a gentle hand on the side of his neck. Cont: "Please Hawk?" Hawk takes on a warm smile and takes down Wilma's hand from him. Hawk: "Of course I will, Wilma, I'll help you with whatever you need when it comes to the Oargon." Huer catches that last line that was said and in a snap turns to Wilma and looks at her coldly. Wilma notices that and immediately gives Huer the same cold look. Both Huer and Wilma at the same time turn to look at Dantin. Dantin, in a puffed-up looking manner: "Anything to serve the Marata." Dantin then steps to being closer to Wilma and Hawk. The whole party but Twiki / Theopolis move down the hallway from whence Buck and Hawk came. By themselves (yes I know that's an odd-sounding statement) speaking to himself, Twiki / Theopolis: "Twiki, I'd say that was abnormal behavior even for Humans." End Teaser Pre-Credits: Beginning of Act One: int: Outside Armory: Buck and Huer stand to either side of a door with a label above it naming it "Armory". Huer: "The Winchester 79's, at least 30 of our men." Buck shaking a finger at Huer: "No no, our Excalibur-G's, [ beat ] only ten men." Huer crosses his arms, Huer: "You're kidding me. It won't work, not against the Marata." Taindair starts to walk past them but Buck grabs him. Taindair: "Buck?" Turning to Huer, Cont: "Doctor Huer?" Buck: "Have you seen Wilma, Hawk or Dantin lately?" Taindair: "No, should I have?" Buck: "Do me a favor, do US a favor. Keep an eye on them." Huer: "Report to us all their actions back to us. Everyone they come in contact with." Looking confused, Taindair: "Sure, um sure I will, any reason why?" Buck and Huer look at each other before looking back at Taindair. Buck: "Have you come in contact with Wilma, Hawk or Dantin lately?" Taindair: "I already told you no. [ beat ] Is there a reason you're holding my arm?" Buck lets go of Taindair. Huer and Buck look away from Taindair and Huer puts a hand on the access panel to the armory. Huer: "We'll try your plan first." Buck and Huer disappear to inside the armory. Taindair walks away to off camera. The camera cuts to a little down the hall from the armory. Taindair stops walking and looks back at where he just talked to Buck and Huer. Looking away from the armory he shakes his head "no" and walks past the camera. Cut to: int: Wilma's Office: Wilma is surrounded by a group of engineers that by the way that they're dressed look like they could easily be mistaken for mechanics; some have rolled-up sleeves. As Wilma talks, her movements come across as overacting. Dantin stands blocking the access panel to the room's door. Wilma: "The fleet has to be ready in under 24 hours!" Engineer One: "It's a new design, the manufacturing and testing -!" Engineer One gets hit in the arm by another of his trade that's close by. Engineer Two: "We'll get the rest of our unit on board and make it happen." Cut to: int: Outside Wilma's Office: Hawk is standing in front of the door and acting as if he's a guard. Taindair races into the scene. Taindair: "Hawk, tell me what's going on with Buck? He's acting odd, Doctor Huer too, a few others as well." Hawk stares at Taindair. Cont: "What?" Hawk grabs Taindair's nearest hand to him. Taindair quickly takes back the grasped hand. Hawk cocks his head inquisitively at Taindair. After a beat, Cont: "Freak." Taindair moves out of the scene. Cut to: int: Workshop: Goodfellow, Mallory and Twiki are here. As Goodfellow sits in one of the chairs surrounding one of the two tables, Mallory is putting the mobile version of Theopolis back in its storage cabinet. Goodfellow: "It is dire isn't it, Mallory?" Mallory: "You trapped us in here." Goodfellow: "[ beat ] Ten years ago, it would have been different." Mallory: "How much of the Defense Directorate haven't you revisited since returning?" Goodfellow: "This used to be my lab, my workshop." Mallory: "Well it's just a workshop now." As this next line is said both men look to the door. V.O. Jade: "Mallory, are you in there? [ beat ] Goodfellow?" Goodfellow: "Bugger off." Twiki: "Isn't there anything we can do?" Turning to Twiki, Mallory: "I'm afraid not Twiki, Goodfellow and I wouldn't make it to the lab." Twiki: "But what about me?" Goodfellow: "Goodness Mallory, how I wish I designed his series differently." Twiki: "Biddi what's wrong with me!?" Goodfellow: "Your hands were designed to do many day-to-day tasks but I'm afraid the grasp of a medical injector was not one of them. We need someone who could hold one in proper grasp but there is no one here. Oh this is a hopeless state we've fallen into." Twiki: "Then what about the other quads? Surely one of my brothers could help with getting everybody back." Goodfellow rubbing his chin: "None of them either, what we need is someone of flesh and blood, but anyone of that state could be taken over just as easy as the rest." Twiki: "Why's that?" Goodfellow: "The warmth of our bodies, our warm blood attracts them like nothing else." Mallory: "Twiki, do you think you could get Taindair here?" Goodfellow: "Who's Taindair?" Mallory: "Goodfellow, he's with us all the way, there's nothing you need to worry about." Goodfellow: "Then why are you telling me that if there's nothing to worry about?" Mallory: "He's a Saurian, a fighter that has been with us for over a year now." Goodfellow getting up and getting angry: "A cold-blooded, heartless reptile!" Settling back down, Cont: "Good point." Twiki: "The war's over, Doctor." Goodfellow: "I know, I know." Mallory: "He's not heartless; he cares deeply for the wellbeing of both Earth and Sanopp." Goodfellow to Twiki: "[ beat ] Bring in the lizard." Cut to: ext: Defense Directorate / Shuttle Park Upper Level: The camera is Fox's POV; he's looking down at Janet who is standing guard by one of the two alien ships. Then with the camera cutting off his POV, we see him draw out a blaster and position himself like a sniper at the ledge to where he is. For a beat the camera becomes Fox's POV again and we see he's completely focused on Janet. Then off his POV the camera focuses on him pulling back the trigger on the blaster. On to Fox's POV once more, his sights still on Janet. In a snap his arms swing upwards and Fox makes a noise of surprise. Cutting the camera off his POV to us seeing the situation better, we see Taindair pinning Fox's arms up in the air, with Fox still tightly holding the blaster. Taindair: "To the heated sands, have you all gone insane?!" Fox tries to fight Taindair's hold and is trying to stand up; Taindair puts a foot on his back to prevent it. Fox: "Let go, get off, I have a mission to accomplish!" Taindair: "That isn't going to involve killing Ms. Ward!" Taindair taking one hand off Fox, grabs away his blaster which then falls to the ground. Fox: "Hey!" Quickly Taindair takes back the arm he let go of and twists both of Fox's arms behind his back, releasing his foot off Fox's back to let him stand up. Taindair: "I came out here for a breath of fresh air because of all the insanity inside the Directorate. Instead I find you out here ready to kill. Tell me what's going on!" Fox: "Who are you with?!" Taindair: "The Defense Directorate, same as you should be!" Fox: "I serve the Marata and no one else!" V.O. Twiki: "But I still serve the Defense Directorate." Taindair turns to see Twiki coming into view coming from the interior of the Directorate. Taindair: "Twiki!" Twiki: "I still have all my marbles. You don't have to worry about me." Taindair: "The others?" Twiki: "You're going to help them." Taindair looks at Twiki in wonder. [ Black ] Cut to: int: Workshop: Taindair, Twiki, Mallory and Goodfellow are here, but Goodfellow is acting like he's not too wild about Taindair's presence by keeping his face downwards. Taindair: "That doesn't seem right." Mallory: "It's the only way to get them all back." Taindair looks to Goodfellow, then back to Mallory. Taindair: "Has he been touched too?" Mallory to Goodfellow: "Doctor?" Goodfellow: "I haven't, I'm sorry [ beat ] some habits die hard." Twiki: "You have to do this, Taindair." Taindair: "Fine, [ beat ] tell me then what I have to do to make them all sick?" End of Act One: Beginning of Act Two: int: Taindair's Quarters: As this scene starts Fox is getting up from the couch rubbing the inside to his elbow and looking a little pale. Taindair is standing close by holding a device that looks like a large metal thorn with buttons on its side. Twiki is also in the room. Fox: "[ beat ] What did - what did you just do to me?" Fully up from the couch and looking at Taindair, sniffing out of sickness. Cont: "You made me sick." Taindair: "Who are you loyal to?" Fox: "What?" Taindair: "The Defense Directorate, Oargon or the Marata?" Fox: "The Defense Directorate of course." Fox falls backwards onto the couch. Cont: "I need to sit down." Taindair: "I need your help." Fox: "No." Taindair: "Why?" Fox: "You made me sick." Taindair: "You were ready to kill Ms. Ward and everyone else isn't acting too stable themselves." Fox: "I'm missing something here aren't I?" Taindair: "You don't remember any of it, do you?" Fox shakes his head "no" then carefully spreads himself out on the couch. Fox: "Could we talk about whatever is going on after I get better?" Taindair comes over to Fox and getting in a crouch before him: "If you weren't sick right now you'd have a microscopic army of aliens controlling your mind and body instead. I need your help getting everybody back to normal." Fox closes his eyes, Fox: "When you put it that way, yeah I'll help." Taindair: "Mallory and Goodfellow are already on this too." Taindair then pulls Fox upright on the couch. Fox opens his eyes. Fox: "Tell me what happened to the aliens controlling me?" Taindair: "They're fighting what I infected you with to regain control over you." Fox: "Oh." Fox then gets up from the couch. Cont: "[ beat ] So is there any way to really get cured of these microbe aliens permanently?" Taindair: "We need to make their commanders go into submission." Fox: "And who would they be?" Cut to: int: Flight Hangar / Launch Tube: A Z-87 moving at an incredibly fast speed is closing in on the camera. In a snap the camera cuts views just as the fighter looks like it's about to hit the camera. Our new view is the Z-87 streaking out of the launch tube and into the open sky. Cut to: ext: Sky Over New Chicago: From the Defense Directorate we can see a troop of eight Z-87s moving at breakneck speed to a higher elevation to off camera. Cut to: int: Flight Hangar: Wilma, not facing the camera and with a hand covering her mid-section, turns away from us. She moves towards a launch tube; Hawk follows behind her by a few feet. Wilma stands before the launch tube she was headed for and Hawk joins her. Cutting the camera to a front view of Wilma and Hawk we now see why Wilma has been holding herself. At her gut her outfit has become blood stained; her hand is covering the wound. Hawk: "Why didn't you leave with them?" Wilma: "The Oargon still have forces here, I must assist our troops on land." Hawk: "You haven't stopped bleeding." Wilma: "When we have taken our victory over the Oargon I will find time to tend to it." Hawk: "Do you have any new orders I should alert our troops to?" Wilma turns to Hawk: "Take out the commander and sub-commander of the Oargon troops." Hawk: "Elias Huer and Buck Rogers will be no more before this day is out." Wilma: "Good." Hawk leaves the scene. Cut to: int: Mess Hall: This is the place last seen back in Episode Eight, the food court. Buck and Huer are tucked away into the hallway just before this place due to a firefight aimed completely in their direction. Both of them have weapons but due to the situation are acting rightfully too timid to use them. There's a fallen table nearby to them. Huer: "No way back, no way forward, the Marata's forces are too many!" Buck stares at the table, Buck: "Not for long." Buck smiles at Huer, who has no idea what Buck is planning. The camera cuts to a beat later: Buck is holding up the table like a shield. Then, running, Buck charges through the Mess Hall taking the gun fire on the table. Once at his former comrades, his enemies, now he fires off his blaster at them and everybody drops. Buck looks at what he's done smiling, not noticing Taindair coming into view behind him. Taindair picks up a fallen chair by its legs. Buck hears Taindair's action and turns. In a snap Taindair reacts to this and slams Buck in the head with the chair. Buck rolls up his eyes and falls to the ground. The camera cuts to where Buck had run from: Huer is now walking into here. The view quickly pans over to Taindair starting to haul off Buck. Then the view pans back to Huer who whips out his blaster to fire it. Cutting the view onto Taindair and Buck, Taindair shooting down from standing at near full, races to back out of the room as blaster fire goes off in his direction. Cut to: ext: Space: Two alien ships, Oargon and Marata in origin, are coming into view from deep off in space; Saturn is in the background. Fire from the Z-87s zips out at them, at random by look but still aimed at them. We watch this for a beat before... The camera cuts closer in on them. In alien tongues we can't understand talking is exchanged between the two ships at a rapid speed in many voices. Cutting the camera to before the alien ships, the Z-87s can be seen moving in on them in a tight formation, fire still lashing out from them. The alien ships break away from each other in opposite directions. The Z-87s in turn break their format too to better carry out their attack which we soon notice is only aimed at one of the two ships. The small alien ship ducks and dodges the fire being driven towards it by the Z-87 troop. Cut to: int: Cockpit: Pilot One: "This isn't working very well!" V.O. Pilot Two: "Until we have the proper ships it will have to do!" Cut to: ext: Space: More alien chatter can be heard for a beat and the ship not being aimed at, the Marata ship, fires at the Z-87s in a massive swing by of fire that doesn't look fitting to such a small ship. The Z-87s stop their attack one by one as they're hit, rocking and spinning away from their struck points. The two alien ships move back into their formation and recontinue their path deeper into our solar system; the Z-87s drift in the void. More alien chatter can be heard trailing off, fading off into the distance. Cut to: int: Public Restroom: The POV is Buck's; it's a wavering unfocused view from him on the floor but propped up against the wall, from sinks lining one wall to Taindair and Mallory who's holding the same medical injector Taindair held earlier, to the bathroom's stalls on the opposite wall. Cutting off Buck's POV to in front of him, Buck: "[ beat ] Wha - [ beat ] go -?" Buck winces in pain and feels where Taindair hit him. Cont: "What happened?" Mallory: "You've wounded a third of the Defense Directorate staff as far as we know." Buck takes on a look of surprise and opens his mouth in shock. After a beat, Buck: "I'd never." Taindair: "You have." Buck takes on a look that you only see on a person when they're either not feeling too well or need to sleep. Mallory: "But they'll be OK once things are back to normal." Taindair: "And you've gotten Doctor Huer unconscious and sick." Buck raises his eyebrows not sure what to make of what he's just been told. End of Act Two: Beginning of Act Three: int: Corridor A-3: The camera is in front of Buck and Fox as they move forward. Buck is hugging the wall with his side as he moves along but Fox is moving at a normal walk. Note both of them are holding medical thorns. Buck: "Could you slow down?" Fox: "Just because you're feeling worse off than I am doesn't mean I should do as you say. We have a mission to complete remember?" Buck: "That doesn't sound like you, Fox." Fox stops in his tracks and turns to face Buck. Buck stops moving now too. Fox: "You're right, it doesn't." Buck: "[ beat ] You need another injection." Fox gives Buck a big grin. Buck moves over to Fox ready to inject him. Fox: "Gotcha." Buck backs away a little, Buck: "That wasn't funny." Buck then falls to the nearest wall and slides down it into sitting. Cont: "I need to rest." Fox: "I'll move on OK?" Buck: "Sure [ beat ] I'll catch up." Fox recontinues moving down the hall as Buck takes a load off. Two of the engineers Wilma was dealing with earlier start coming into view from the opposite direction Fox is moving in. Fox: "There will never be a better time." Buck looking to Fox: "For what?" Fox turns back to look at Buck for a beat: "Gotcha," he says with his grin returning. The engineers take Buck down before he can get up in response to what Fox has just said. Fox moves out of camera range as Buck tries to fight his way up, his medical thorn falls. Cutting the camera close up on Buck he grabs the fallen thorn and stabs it into one of the two engineers: who goes limp the moment he's hit. The Other Engineer stops his attack and staring at Buck: "What have you done?!" Buck: "You're asking me?!" Then Buck stabs Other Engineer with the medical thorn and once more at being stuck he goes limp. Buck moves them aside, looking at them getting up. He looks at his medical thorn, Cont: "Anesthetic huh?" Buck breaks into a small run towards where Fox went. Cont: "Really shouldn't confuse those buttons." For a beat the camera holds on the scene after Buck leaves it, our attention on the fallen engineers. Cut to: ext: Defense Directorate / Shuttle Park: In black and white we see the two alien ships that landed there earlier, only now destroyed in full. Characters of an unknown language move fast and randomly around the screen. With a brief streaking backwards appearance, our view of the scene widens and four fighters holding blasters appear to stand nearby the two ships, eyes directed outwards waiting for anyone or anything that might approach them. The fast paced alien chatter of many voices starts up again and we hold on this scene for a beat before... The camera's POV returns to normal with color returning. The two alien ships we last saw in battle back in Act Two are here, hovering high over what was just described. They move away from the Shuttle Park and down over the edge of it, past the building. None of the fighters take notice of this. Cut to: int: Defense Directorate / Main Entrance: The camera is on the check-in desk: no one is there. In fact no one is here until... The camera pans around to the doors leading into here from the streets of New Chicago. A man and a woman enter and head in the direction of the door leading to the further interior of the Directorate. Woman: "At least it doesn't appear they've led their attacks into the street." Man: "It won't stay that way for long; war is the only thing on their minds." Woman: "Then our peace with the Humans might be gone?" They stop moving and look at each other. Man: "We are an army in ourselves; if the saboteurs can conquer this place in the course of under a day, then surely we can do the same and return things back to how they should be." Woman: "I'm glad you're allies with us now." After that last line is said they continue heading towards the door again. Cut to: int: Mess Hall: Mallory is holding a case which holds medical instruments and is settling down by one of the men Buck shot earlier. Noises of battle can by heard in the distance. Mallory in a voice that tells us he's sick: "Well, you're hurt, but you're going to live." Mallory's Patient moans. Then Mallory takes out a chemical and pad of gauze. Cont: "I'm not going to get you sick; the internal battle you're fighting right now should be enough to keep them busy." The man and woman last seen in the main entrance enter the camera's view. As Mallory treats his patient, Woman: "You're aware of what's taking place here?" Mallory looks up at her, Mallory: "I'm aware of what took place here. Who are you?" He says also looking at the man. Man: "We're the representatives of the Marata and Oargon here to share our new union and thoughts with Earth." Mallory: "Then who are the Marata and Oargon we've been dealing with?" The woman bends down to Mallory and his Patient, Woman: "I can help you heal him faster." Mallory after a beat of staring at her shakes his head "yes" to this. She puts a hand on the patient's skin. In a snap from the inside out we can see the patient's wound healing. Man: "You've been dealing with two military groups that would rather see either side annihilated than see peace." Mallory: "Can you stop them?" Woman: "We'll need more hosts." Cut to: ext: Defense Directorate / Shuttle Park: Huer is standing before a troop of ten fighters standing at ready like soldiers for him with Jade by his side. Hawk and Wilma enter behind: both unnoticed. Huer: "Both ships have been destroyed by gunfire miss-aimed, but when the enemy comes our aim must be true. The Marata sent a troop of space fighters to destroy our representatives, it is unknown if this mission was completed. Our numbers have dwindled greatly ever since our hosts have taken ill. But will that stop us!" Wilma and Hawk are now behind Huer and Jade. The troop before Huer all at once: "No!" Janet, who's in the troop, aims her blaster at Huer. Huer noticing this, Huer: "And who do you serve?!" All at once from the whole troop but Janet in a lower voice: "The Oargon!" Jade: "He is not our enemy, Ms. Ward." Janet: "No, but they are." Huer and Jade turn to face Wilma who's aiming a blaster at Huer and Hawk who has one pointed at Jade. Huer slowly puts up his hands. Wilma: "Smart thinking." Hawk: "Where is your sub-commander?" Huer: "Taken captive by your forces." Wilma: "We don't have Rogers." Jade: "Then he is on neither side and ill." Wilma: "Then he doesn't matter. We don't need him for what I have planned." Cut to: int: Huer's Office: Acting like he's being pushed through the Phasoft-door Huer enters, followed shortly by Wilma and Hawk. Wilma: "Make the broadcast," she says with a blaster trained on Huer. Huer glares at her then sits down at his desk. Looking back at Wilma he pulls out a transmitter mic that looks to be the size of a cigarette, its color like a deep metal charcoal with a button facing outwards. Huer: "Attention all Marata, we surrender." Wilma goes up to Huer and puts her blaster at his throat. Wilma: "That was bull and you didn't even transmit it." Huer swallows, Huer: "Again?" Hawk: "Again." Wilma in a low tone of voice: "Attention all Marata, all troops, all civilians, your Government Military Commander has something of immense importance to announce." Looking Wilma right in the eye, Huer clicks in the button on the transmitter mic. Huer: "Attention all Marata, all troops, all civilians, your Government Military Commander has something of immense importance to announce." Huer depresses the button still looking at Wilma. Wilma backs away from Huer a little but still holds her blaster on him. Wilma: "We are surrendering to the Oargon. They are our conquerors, our superiors and should be treated as so." Huer breaks his gaze from Wilma and looking down presses in the button again on the transmitter mic. Huer: "We are surrendering to the Oargon. They are our conquerors, our superiors and should be treated as so." Huer depresses the button on the mic. Wilma: "Thank you commander," she says putting down her blaster and Huer puts his face in his hands. V.O. Buck: "Wow, what a performance, if I thought it was worth anything I'd cheer you on your victory, but there is none." Hawk turning to find where the voice came from, which is Theopolis'es face in the wall: "Rogers?!" End of Act Three: Beginning of Act Four: int: Huer's Office: Wilma and Hawk are acting shocked by Buck's last line in at the end of Act Three. Huer is taking his head out of his hands. Wilma: "Rogers, where are you? How did you just make that broadcast?" Cut to: int: Testing Lab One: Buck down against a wall is speaking to Twiki who has the mobile Theopolis linked into not only Twiki but the built into the Defense Directorate Theopolis as well. Goodfellow, Mallory and Taindair are there too, along with the man and woman who are acting as the representatives to the Marata and Oargon. Buck: "Not right now Wilma, well, you're not really Wilma but you know what I mean. I'm not going to tell you where I am, you want me dead and I'm not going to let that happen so long as you're acting as if you're the commander of an alien species." Cut to: int: Huer's Office: Wilma grabs the transmitter mic from Huer and quickly presses in its button for broadcast. Wilma: "Now you listen here sub-commander to the Marata Military we've won! The Marata have failed in their conquest to conquer the Oargon! Our whole planet knows it and your commander just made the broadcast!" Cut to: int: Testing Lab One: Everybody is where we last saw them. Buck: "You made that broadcast into the whole of the Defense Directorate and no where else. And by the way I'm no longer the sub-commander to the Marata Military." V.O. Wilma: "What?!" Buck looking at his friends in the room: "Sick, wounded, then born again Oargon and not only Oargon but house speaker to the Oargon government's president. [ beat ] There's been a treaty signed, we're not at war like it or not." Man: "Get Huer on." Buck to Twiki / Theopolis: "Doctor Huer, did you get that?" A beat as they wait for the answer. V.O. Huer: "I heard you Rogers." Buck: "You want this madness to end now just as much as I do right?" Another beat as they wait for the answer. V.O. Huer: "There isn't much choice in this matter is there." Buck: "No there isn't." A beat, V.O. Huer: "You win." Cut to: int: Huer's Office: Wilma throws her blaster to the ground in anger. Hawk: "Do we surrender?" V.O. Buck: "The war is over, it's been over, it's just you don't want to accept it." Wilma growling: "We surrender!" V.O. Buck: "Now stay where you are and we'll close this matter OK?" Wilma looks like she wants to break something. Cut camera to Huer's office later. Buck and the representatives of the Marata and Oargon are here along with everybody else who was here in the last scene. Wilma is holding Huer's desk for balance as she starts to cry. Wilma: "What have I done?" Buck rubs her back, Buck: "It's going to be OK." Woman: "They're still alive, we never like to harm our hosts." Wilma: "They're just adrift in space, cold space, no air." Man: "All of their ship's systems were disabled but life support." Huer to the Man: "I'm sorry about all of this." Man: "None of it was your fault; you have nothing to be sorry for." Buck softly: "Wilma?" Wilma hugs Buck tightly, Cont: "It's going to be OK." Hawk: "Everything is going to return to normal." Woman: "We are at the dawn of a new age of peace and understanding, Doctor Huer. I hope, "we" hope what has happened here will never occur again." Huer: "Your troops?" Buck: "Have all been put into submission." Wilma: "How?" Cut to: int: Testing Lab One: The camera moves in on a capped test tube of slowly moving dark red liquid labeled "Contaminated Clorex: warning bio-hazard". V.O. Man: "They've been transferred to a battle field with no end just as they always wanted it." He says as the camera is now on the tube close up. End of Act Four. The End. Roll Credits.
